Helpful Tips to Survive Knowledge 18

EVENT: Helpful Tips to Survive Knowledge 18

At PlatCore, we are counting down the days for Knowledge. If this is your first time to the show, prepare to be in awe, amazed, and a bit overwhelmed. We asked around and found a few tips to make your time enjoyable, productive, and most important FUN. We look forward to seeing you there!

Tip #1  – Prioritize your Goals

The number of activities at Knowledge can be overwhelming. If you try to do everything, you will drive yourself crazy. Instead, focus on the most important knowledge, resources or network would you like to take away from the show. Here are a few reasons to attend:

  • I want to develop a certain skill or learn more about something
  • I want to know about latest in ServiceNow
  • I want to keep in touch (and expand) my network
  • I want to meet people that are doing X (technical? functional? location? industry?)
  • I need to find a solution to something or meet vendors

If you make your plans according to these goals,  your time will be well spent. Based on your goals, map out your must-see sessions, and identify people that can help. A great place to start looking is the amazing lineup of keynote speakers, networking, clinics, geeking, and a whole lot of fun on the agenda.

Tip #2 – Don’t eat alone

Breakfast and lunch become opportunities to make new friends. And if you’re part of a large team, split up so your group is easier to approach and inviting for others to jump in. Be sure to listen to others’ journeys and innovative ways they are leveraging the Now Platform. That’s what Knowledge is all about… sharing and learning!

Tip #3 – Wear good shoes

The distance you walk at Knowledge would make an ultra runner blush. And this year at the Venetian, EXTRA walking is the order of the day. The last thing you want is to be uncomfortable. Leave the heels at home, you will not regret it!

Tip #4 – Visit PlatCore

Come visit us on the Exhibit Hall floor (Booth #1424). We will be demoing exciting new PlatCore 2.0 features including a drag and drop course builder, learning plans and more. But also, we would love to meet you! (and if you mention this blog post, Lauren has some special giveaways)

Tip #5 – See what other customers are doing

Learning from other customers is a great way to gain new insights and get inspired. Join us for this customer panel which highlights several ServiceNow apps (including PlatCore):

BRE0634 – Panel: Digitize your Business at Maximum Speed with ISV Apps –  May 9, 11:40 am – 12:30 pm, Marcello 4401B (Venetian, L4)

Tip #6 – Be Flexible & Have Fun

Ok, we realize this last one may go against much of what we have said to this point, but it’s actually the most important! You don’t need to schedule every moment of the conference.

Follow things that spark your interest, learn about something new, meet new friends, take a dip in the Bellagio fountain! (this last one is highly discouraged by Bellagio security) Seriously though, get a picture with Chuck Tomasi. Yes, the gentleman with the red bow-tie – who also happens to be a ServiceNow legend.

We hope you have a fantastic time, and make sure to bring all your great notes home to your team so they can benefit your company for years to come!
