Run Every Major E-Learning Standard Natively on ServiceNow

PlatCore 5.1 eliminates external content hosting, making enterprise learning simpler, more secure, and easier to evaluate than ever before.

Enterprise learning teams have invested years building valuable training content. Whether it's product education, compliance programs, customer onboarding, or employee development, that content often exists in standard formats like SCORM, xAPI, cmi5, or AICC.

The challenge has never been creating great content. It's been getting that content into an LMS without adding complexity.

With the release of PlatCore 5.1, that's changing.

Our latest release introduces a fully self-hosted course player that runs entirely inside your ServiceNow instance. Simply upload your training package and start learning. There are no external content servers to configure, no third-party services to manage, and no additional infrastructure standing between your learners and their training.

For organizations evaluating PlatCore, this also creates a dramatically better trial experience. Prospects can now upload their own proprietary training content directly into their ServiceNow environment and see exactly how it works. There is no need to work with PlatCore to configure external hosting or expose sensitive content during an evaluation.

The new player supports every major e-learning standard out of the box, including SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004, xAPI, cmi5, and AICC. Content created with popular authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate, or iSpring can be uploaded as a ZIP package and played immediately inside ServiceNow. Organizations that prefer to host content on their own media server can continue to do that as well, with expanded support across all major standards.

For government agencies and highly regulated industries, this release offers another important advantage. Because the course player runs entirely inside your ServiceNow instance, organizations can eliminate outbound calls to third-party content delivery networks. The result is a simpler architecture that aligns well with FedRAMP and other security-sensitive environments while reducing operational complexity.

Version 5.1 also delivers significant improvements behind the scenes. The engineering team strengthened completion tracking, certificate issuance, grading workflows, instructor tools, reporting accuracy, and time zone handling to make learning more reliable at enterprise scale. New consistency checks help ensure learners receive the correct certificates, assignments complete accurately, and managers have confidence in the data they rely on every day.

While many of these improvements are invisible to end users, they matter enormously for organizations delivering millions of learning records each year. Increased reliability means fewer support requests, more accurate reporting, and a smoother experience for learners, instructors, managers, and administrators alike.

PlatCore has always believed that learning should be part of the enterprise platform, not another disconnected application. With version 5.1, we're making that vision even stronger by removing friction from content delivery while continuing to improve the performance, security, and reliability our customers expect.

If you're looking for an LMS that lets you leverage your existing training content without adding another layer of infrastructure, PlatCore 5.1 delivers a faster, simpler path to enterprise learning on ServiceNow.
